This afternoon I visited the British Museum and saw the exhibition of Mexican revolution prints 1910-1960

They were interesting, but I found them very dated. What might have seemed relevent in 1935, seems to me to have nothing to say to us in 2009, but I liked the use of words with drawings, something I do myself.

This afternoon I went to the Tate Britain and saw the Turner and the Masters exhibition, which was brilliant. Later I went upstairs and saw the entries for the 2009 Turner prize. They can be best described as being embarassing. I noticed that Turner himself was quite short and portly (in later life) and spoke with a strong cockney accent.  I can just see him standing there and saying what a load of f……….. rubbish!
